A12: The testing facility in Dai Chen factory contains a W6000*H2000mm DCAM-02 flood panel, which is able to bear nearly 56 tons of water pressure. Structural calculation is available for customers’ requirement, only that the expense of calculation will be customers' responsibility.

A13: Space of threshold is not quit big, therefore the possibility of slippery is little; however, customized anti-slippery threshold is available for customers’ requirement.

Q14: There’s a spring plunge in the central of middle post base, what if someone stuck in it with high heels?

A14: The spring plunge in the central of middle post base can be fixed by flat head bolt, only have to remove the bolt before middle post installation.

Q15: Will threshold transform because of cars passing?

A15: Concrete cement will be filled into the C shaped threshold to have better traction and prevent the transformation cause by car passing. Dai Chen threshold has passed loading test conducted by Taiwan MIRDC (Metal Industries Research & Development Centre), which 2 mm thick C shaped threshold is able to load up to 80 tons.

Q16: What is the material of sealing rubber? Will it damage easily? When should I replace the rubber?

A16: The material of sealing rubber is EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer), with service temperature from -50 to 160 Celsius, EPDM exhibit outstanding resistance to heat, ozone, steam and weather. It is common used in car doors and windows as seals and bridges as anti-vibration pads; without artificial damage, EPDM rubber can be used for more than 10 years, Dai Chen demountable flood panel installed 18 years ago is the best proof.

Q17: How do I know if the rubber should be replaced?

A17: The rubber should be replaced when it gets cracking, crisping, hardening, elastic fatiguing or falling. (The rubber can get elastic fatiguing once it has been tightened for a long time, like more than 3 months)

Q18: How do I store the accessories of flood panel?

A18: Storage racks and lockable frames will be provided and installed on solid wall; storage racks can be installed in vertical or horizontal way, so that accessories of flood panel could be easily reached by the end users.
